HISTORY
1928 Entrepreneur Friedrich Kling purchases a factory with 5 employees producing paperboard containers in Pforzheim, where he stops making paperboard containers and starts to manufacture velvet boxes for the jewellery industry instead
1958 Friedrich Kling sells his manufacturing firm to 21-year-old businessman Manfred Bächtold. Over the years Kling develops into a full-service supplier of displays, decorations, sales aids and shop fittings for wholesalers and manufacturers in a wide variety of different sectors
1988 The company’s new building is completed and “Friedrich Kling GmbH“ relocates to Carl-Benz-Strasse in Birkenfeld
1994 Markus Bächtold takes the reins of the company, the third generation of the Bächtold family to do so
